The Course Calculator is a simple tactical tool to help any sailor on the race course.   After taking a bearing on the wind or the windward mark, simply turn the degree wheel untill that number is lined up with the "Wind or Windward Mark Bearing" line, and then directly read your starboard tack heading, port tack heading, leeward mark heading, and the mark to mark bearings of a triangle race course.   A grease pencil is included to write the calculated headings right on the calculator itself where you can see them at a quick glance anytime during the race.   Recalculating the headings several times during the race also helps identify the lifts and headers.   plastic coated water resistant.   Grease pencil wipes off with a napkin or towel.
